Since I started my business – I have said someday I will do travel documentary sessions where I spend the day with the family and then in our down time, I will teach the mom how to use her own camera so that she can learn how to capture her own “everyday”. That my friends.. is my dream world – I don’t know how I will turn this dream world into a reality – but I know it is the direction I want to see my business go. See… I have this incredible passion for photography, I LOVE all types of it! Emotive portraiture infused with light is what I am known for here in Dallas – but I have such a huge love for shooting real life – I love those little moments, you know the ones that as moms we often don’t get to see because we are “in it” …and let’s be honest … as moms when you are “in it” it can be kinda hard to see how these little moments is what mothering is truly all about. So when my incredibly talented friend Leah from Leah Cook Photography – (if you don’t follow her I encourage you to do ASAP – she is the real deal folks and as nice as they come) invited me over to hang, I thought I would bring my camera… just in case … life started to happen while we were catching up.
And just in case you were wondering… all images were shot with my 24 mm 1.4 – and a majority were shot shooting from the hip… because I like to live on the edge.
