So I brought what I lovingly call “the beast” – because I know its fun to try and capture something that I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to capture. I have this problem though- I really hate the process of taking it the beach. Call it lazy – if you want. But having to remove the strap, change all my settings to get ready to shoot in the water, screwing it in… all 7 screws…. and then carrying the beast down to the beach – because it is really heavy… it just doesn’t sound like fun. Now don’t get be wrong… once I get there – I do love it. It is just the process to get there that can be a big ol’ buzz kill. But that is very important component of photography that people don’t see when they see the beautiful images that come through their feed everyday. Photographers can’t be afraid to get dirty, they lay down on surfaces you wouldn’t even walk in with shoes. We climb trees. The truth is it is very easy to take a picture… but to get a different perspective many times it means you can’t be lazy or be afraid of getting dirty – as those Nike ads used to say … JUST DO IT and I promise you 9 times out of 10 you will be glad that you did..jpg "2016-07-16_0058.jpg")
